Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora:

Your adventure begins by traversing the Tizin’tichka Pass, nestled in the heart of the majestic Atlas Mountains. As you wind your way through the rugged terrain, you’ll be greeted by picturesque Berber villages clinging to the mountainside. These traditional settlements have served as the backdrop for numerous acclaimed films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Hidalgo, The Black Stallion Returns, Babel, and Cleopatra.

Continuing your expedition, you’ll arrive in Ait Ben Haddou, an awe-inspiring kasbah (fortress) that exudes grandeur and historical significance. This magnificent architectural gem is a testament to the region’s rich heritage. After immersing yourself in its splendor, your journey leads you to Ouarzazate, known for its film studios. Here, you can explore the renowned Kasbah Taourirt and the ancient Galoui Palace, both resplendent with tales of the past.

Following the course of the river that meanders through the Draa Valley, you’ll bear witness to the mesmerizing sight of numerous kasbahs nestled amidst a sprawling oasis of palm trees—a vital source of the region’s delectable dates. As you venture beyond the village of Agdz, your final destination, Zagora, comes into view. The colossal adobe structures that punctuate the landscape form the kasbah villages, wherein the rhythm of life has remained unchanged for countless centuries.
Zagora serves as the gateway to the palm oases, where the road gradually dissipates into an expanse of sand and rocks. It is here that your desert experience truly unfolds. The first day culminates with a camel ride through the breathtaking desert scenery, leading you to a campsite where you’ll savor a delectable dinner accompanied by the captivating melodies of Berber music—a true immersion into the local culture.

Day 2: Zagora – Agdz – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:

As the first rays of the sun grace the desert landscape, you’ll witness a mesmerizing sunrise from your campsite. After bidding farewell to the tranquil desert, your camel ride takes you back to the starting point. The return journey to Marrakech takes you through Ouarzazate once again, offering an opportunity to further explore the city and visit the renowned Kasbah Taourirt. Finally, you’ll be dropped off at your Marrakech accommodation, bringing this remarkable adventure to a close.
